Non-surgical facial aesthetics: One procedure which Red Rose Dental group is proud to offer includes facial rejuvenation. It is a natural process when our face develops fine and deep wrinkles. Over time the muscles in our facial expressions cause these lines, as well as other outside influences such as smoking. Within our practice we offer you the most up-to-date pain free techniques with facial rejuvenation and that helps to give you a smooth, more youthful looking appearance.Within the facial rejuvenation treatment options is Botox. This is a non surgical procedure and it is extremely safe as well as painless. A small, ultra thin needle is injected into the facial muscles, releasing the Botox into them. It is one of the most effective ways of treating fine lines and it is particularly successful at removing crows feet and frown lines.Another option in facial rejuvenation treatment is dermal fillers. These include fillers such as Teosyl which is basically a purified type of hyaluronic acid. These types of fillers are used to give volume as well as plumpness to the skin. They are best used on deep wrinkles and they are also used to create fullness in the lips. You only have to wait between 3-5 days in order to see results from your facial rejuvenation procedure and usually they last for around 6-12 months dependent on which treatment you have. The surface of teeth can be stained by beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine etc. or tobacco consumption. Your dentist will diagnose the reasons of the stains on your teeth before treatment. How does the whitening work? Your teeth should initially be thoroughly cleaned then an impression will be taken of your mouth. This impression serves to make a thin plastic whitening tray individualized to your teeth. You then fill this tray with a whitening gel and wear it according to the instructions of your dentist. It is a thick gel which safely fixes the tray onto your teeth so that it does not move. After some days you will observe a noticeable brightening effect. The best results are achieved after the tray has been worn approximately 10 nights. Is bleaching always successful? The whitening process is most successful on slightly discoloured teeth. Strongly discoloured teeth may take longer, sometimes ‘in surgery bleaching’ is required. This involves the dentist using a stronger agent whilst you are at the surgery. Sedation: If the thought of coming to see us makes you feel nervous, then you may want to consider some form of sedation. We have done over a thousand cases of sedation. Our staff are fully trained in every aspect. The method of sedation we use is called IV sedation, which is a small injection, usually in your arm. You will feel very relaxed/sleepy and it has an amnesiac effect.
Hygiene: In order to keep a healthy looking smile, you need to ensure that you have good dental hygiene. At Red Rose Dental Group we have excellent hygienists and a dedicated Oral healthcare Nurse who are specially trained in the prevention of gum disease as well as dental cavities. It is important to have good oral hygiene habits from childhood if you want healthy gums and teeth in your adult years. This means that whilst our hygienists do a good job at treating the various problems which occur through lack of dental hygiene, they also help to educate children as well as adults on the basis of good oral hygiene. If you are visiting the hygienist for the first time, you will have your teeth and gums thoroughly examined. If you have any plaque or surface stains from tobacco or coffee for example, they will be gently removed through polishing, scraping and prophyflex power sprays.
