Beautiful, brilliant white teeth give you an appealing and refined appearance. They reflect self-confidence and stand for success, youth and vitality.

Why are teeth discoloured?
Some of the stresses and strains (and some pleasures!) of everyday life can cause discolouration.

The surface of teeth can be stained by beverages such as coffee, tea, red wine etc. or tobacco consumption. Your dentist will diagnose the reasons of the stains on your teeth before treatment.

How does the whitening work?
Your teeth should initially be thoroughly cleaned then an impression will be taken of your mouth. This impression serves to make a thin plastic whitening tray individualized to your teeth. You then fill this tray with a whitening gel and wear it according to the instructions of your dentist. It is a thick gel which safely fixes the tray onto your teeth so that it does not move. After some days you will observe a noticeable brightening effect. The best results are achieved after the tray has been worn approximately 10 nights.

Is bleaching always successful?
The whitening process is most successful on slightly discoloured teeth. Strongly discoloured teeth may take longer, sometimes ‘in surgery bleaching’ is required. This involves the dentist using a stronger agent whilst you are at the surgery. Fillings and restorations do not change colour with any whitening system.

We are also provide the ‘Enlighten’ and ‘In Surgery’ Whitening systems here at Red Rose Dental Group.  Please download our fees guide for prices or alternatively call us on 01942 242632 for further information and any latest offers.
